Iframe with Authentication on child Page

I have a situation where I have Forms Authentication on the parent page (and the child Iframe's page).
I would like to prevent the child page from showing the logon prompt when authentication times out. Rather I would like the Parent page to be the only one which gives the authentication prompts and can authenticate to the application.
Please help!
