I am trying to have an AVI file played in the default media player on the client machine. My web site is written in VB.net. When the user clicks on a button I have one line of code in the code behind file. I would like the default media player on the client machine to start and play the file.
System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(http://www.cna.org/isaac/einstein_precess.avi). On the development machine clicking the button causes the default media browser to start and play the file but when I publish the web site and go to the page, nothing happens when I click the button. Is this a Vb code problem, IIS 7 problem or a firewall problem. The development machine and production machine are behind the same firewall.
