I came across this post where an individual had a need to implement role hierarchy using the role manager and was informed that this was not possible but it could be handled in code. I was curious if anyone had any good examples of how this could be done.
The best I could come up with is to create 2 additional entities (in sql), and store the top-level role in the asp roles entity, the lower-level roles in the 1st custom entity, and bind users to top-level->lower-level roles in the last custom entity.
It seems like there would be a better way to implement this without having to create additional entities. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
