I have an problem with Regular Expression Validator on a textbox with in an Updatepanel. I only have one textbox in the updatepanel that fires ontextchanged event when the text changes. I don't wanna fire the event back to the server if the regular expression fails. My problem is if i set the textbox properties to autopostback to true.. the event always fires not matter what happens in the regular expression.. If , i set the to autopostback to false.. The regular expression works but the event never fires when the regular expression is true..
