Hello Everyone,
I'm new to sql server and doing a project on a soccer league.Im doing it in C#- the programming part is no problem.I just can't get my head around organising my tables for the database.
There is going to be a teams table with team_id teamName and teamRanking(Used for calculating scores).User needs to input 10 team names and there ranking(1-10).The system will randomly calculate the fixtures(home and away) for the season when teams are populated.Then
each week the user can click a button and the scores are randomly calculated for that week of fixtures.
I presume I need a fixtures table with fixture_id(PK),match_no,team_id(FK) and at_home(which will be bool).
A Scores table with score_id(PK),match_no(FK),homeScore and awayScore.
I know these tables are wrong,to be honest don't know where to begin
I need to display a table at any time during the season which includes Games Played,Team Name,Won,Drew,Lost,Goals For,Goals A ...
