I do code in VS 2008 (C#) and doing a lot of projects that include database.
That`s why I have recently decided to have one on my own. And installed an Sql server 2008 R2 Express edition on my pc which is located on a local network, behind the wireless pouter. I did and configured all necessary to establish a connection (opened ports
1433, 1434), set Remote connection, and other stuff.
This is the error that Im constantly getting when trying to Open a connection:
An error has occurred while establishing a connection to
the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this
failure may be caused by the fact that under the default
settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections.

But some how I cannot access to this server.
