how to prevent users to enter invalid characters in url..

hi!

i am giving provision to users to edit their profile and thier company profile.

the url is like this

www.sample.com?id=98&page=101

if the users edit the "id" at url and edit another profile means how to prevent them. i want to prevent to modify url. is it possible. if yes how?
