I am having this problem about the required field validation.
In my page i have a gridview and inside the gridview i have a dropdownlist in the 12th column, there is a multiline textbox in the 13th column and i have to put required field validator for the textbox.
There are 4 options in the dropdownlist - Approve, Reject, Cancel, Rework.
and user will select some option in the dropdownlist and submit the request.
my problem is i need to make the textbox in the 13th column mandatory when cancel is selected in the dropdownlist. and for all other cases the textbox is not mandatory.
Can someone please tell me how i can achieve this.
