I want to know what the best way to get and hold information for users is. I am using the createuserwizard and have added a few extra pieces that I am pushing into a different table, ie birthdate, gender, zipcode but I want to know how to link up these pieces of information so when someone logs in they can see their profile and this stuff displays? I know how all the aspnet_User information works (for the most part) and I made a seperate table called User_Values, and then will have another User_Profile which need to get the information from the aspnet_User so when they login they know who the user is basically, but I don't know the best way to do this. I was going to use the UserId, but I am alsoo thinking about using the UserName from aspnet_Users. Does anyone have any suggestions or best practices for this? I currently am using the below code and am changing the insert to Linq right now because it's more secure. But I want to know the best idea for this part please.
