asp:FileUpload to upload to a memory string.

It is easy upload a file with the asp:Fileupload control and save it to the file system.
I would like to upload the file to a memory string and process the data in memory. I would use a memory stream. I accomplish that a few years ago, but I can't find the code.

Can anyone show me how to upload a file to a memory string in .net ?
