setting the DynamicServiceMethod in codebehind for a single modalpopup

Hi there, I'm using visual web developer 2008 with vb asp.net.



My solution involves a page with various controls on, and a single modalpopup, featuring a label which is the dynamic control for that popup.



What I want to achieve is, whichever control I use on the page, when I click a button for example, that button event will alter the dynamicservicemethod of the modalpopup, before calling its show() function.



One example works all of the time (standard button control):

pxPopup.DynamicServiceMethod = "insert"
pxPopup.DynamicContextKey = Request.QueryString("id")
pxPopup.Show()

But I also want similar behaviour for rows within a gridview - using its selectcommand, with the following:
