I'm new to this and for the moment i am trying to do a student module but this ASP.net thing has got my interest so hopefully i will follow it up after.
I watched the hilo_intro_final video and believed that it would be a nice and simply way, to allow my logged on users to view only there own details.
I followed the video, i already had an admin and a student role setup so i assigned the the access rights to two folders. Downloaded the code (that checks who is logged on, i assume!) and added it into the web page inside the students secured folder but no matter who i logon as i cant access the data.
I did spot that the "where" selection option had been changed from "query" to "session" but this made no difference.
Providing that my roles security is set correctly on the folder should this piece of code only allow a user to see there own data?
