I have a database where the first six letters can be "buffal" or "washin" or any other combination.  But there could be many of one combination example:

buffal01, buffal02, buffal03...buffal98 and so on.  I can find all of the record using SELECT * FROM RecordName WHERE (Record LIKE 'buffal%') ORDER BY DESC

How can I get the number of records LIKE buffal% so that I can assign that number to my count to get the next high number?
