I read a lot of articles and posts on this page but never intend to post myself, now, the time has come :)
I recently overtook the development of an ASP.NET (2.0 Framework) application which targets on an automatic configuration of necessary wires and connectors.
So, the customer enters his hardware he already posses, selects a product and based on this data the system finds out (with the configuration data held in a database) which kind of additional cables the customer is able to choose.
This is the program's second step. On this page are several AccordionPanes (these component which are able to collapse and decollapse on an event e.g. a mouse click) in which a table element is enclosed, which is filled dynamically with Radio Buttons representing the possible configuration details.For example has the user the choice between 3 types of connectors with different features e.g. an additional iPod connection.
