I have scoured the net for a solution to this but cannot get to the bottom of it.
I have, say, 10 required field validators on my page, and one custom validator (for a required checkbox). All "display" modes for these validators were set to "Static" (and worked correctly), however due to a change in requirements a validation summary was implemented.
I went through each of the validators and set the display to "none", including the custom validator, and tested.
All the error messages displayed in the validation summary apart from the custom validator error message.
