Basic following Joe Stagner HDI videos on how to use AJAX to avoid all the details of hooking up to a web service. The basic example was not a problem. It consisted of a ASP.NET page and WebService.asmx file. The technique involved using the scriptmanager and adding an item to the services collection. The object is a ServiceReference class and it required setting the Path attribute to "WebService.asmx" by that I mean the name of my web services. I made one tiny change to the demo by creating a second project where my Webservice resides.
