that's the deal: i'm working on a intranet website built from another team which i have source code but i can't (and i don't want) lie my hands on. I then created a new subdirectory of this website to upload my work: i selected the subfolder of the website in IIS and create the virtual app.
The parent website uses asp.net membership to manage users and roles. I need to integrate this logic on my website. As stated on MSDN i added strings on my web.config to access AspNetSqlMembershipProvider pointed to the right database where the membership sql logic is deployed.
Now what? I added the "location -> authorization" logic for some folders on my app via web.config, using <add roles="..." /> but nothing: i continue to see the parent login screen recursively, because when the login returns user informations it can't see any membership on app's web config.
Even if i just try to access User.Id ...
