So I want to add another application to my web server that uses the same authetication as acurrent one. I read the MS article on how to do this with machine key and decryptionkey values here:

My question is about the machien key tag I'd need to add to both web applications, ie:

are these values arbitrary? Do I create them myself and just add them to both web.config files? ...
