I have Windows 8 64bit. I'm trying to install SQL server 2008. It keeps telling me that .Net Framework 3.5 needs to be installed but it is installed. I have read several posts explaining how to turn on the 3.5 framework
in Windows and I followed that and I even installed a program that requires 3.5 framework and it installed and runs perfectly. Also, I have Visual Studio 2008 installed and am currently running a solution that uses .net Framework 3.5 so it's on there.
The problem seems to be with the SQL Server setup. I tried running the setup as admin and in compatibility mode. I don't know what else to try. I haven't seen this issue on any other forum. Has anyone had this issue? ...
