Playing Sound

Hello All

Is there any way to play the sound in asp.net page usgin only and only Javascript ??

I want to add sound like google talk on popup and I have found the solution but it only works in  IE not any ohter browser . And also it only supports  the .mdi format  And I want to play all kind of audio formats.
So is there any javascript which supports all the browsers as well as all the formats ??
