Folks,
Our ASP.NET application consists of Web forms as well as web services.
We let users extend our application by adding their own custom aspx pages. These custom pages communicate with our application framework using Web Services.
We expect our users to extend our application in two different ways:
1. Create an entirely different website and make Web Service calls to our application.
2. Copy aspx pages (and corresponding DLLs) to our the application website itself.
In the second case, the Web service must automatically use the existing ASP.NET session.
In my Web service method, how can I safely identify if the caller is part of the same website or a different website?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
Peter
