i have visual studio 2005 installed on my system and along with it sql server 2005 was installed as a part of the setup. now whenever i try to create a new database to add to my website or project, i get the parameter is incorrect error.
the steps that i follow are:
in solution explorer, i go to add new item ==> sql database==> as soon as i add any name and press ok, i get an error message, the parameter is incorrect with the heading local database file.
i have even tried to create a new database with sql server management studio express and while linking it to my project, i followed the following steps:
1. in server explorer, add new connection==> microsodt sql server==> in the dialog box, it does not show the name of any server, however, in the server menu, a server with the name of my pc is added.
please help me
