I am using Matt Dotson's RealWorldGrids to handle bulk updating of my gridview.  Everything works fine with this.  I then have added a button to each row of the gridview to drop the first cell's value and essentially shift the numbers from each of the other cells over to the left and then setting the focus on the last cell to add a new value.  This works fine as well with one exception - if I add scores to other rows and then click the SHIFT button for a row, those other changes are lost.
So, I thought I would see if there was a way to call the UPDATE button through Javascript first thinking this might save all of the changes first and then shift the cells for the row I need to change next.  However, this is not working.
Does anyone know how I can save all of the changes in the other rows first (without having to manually click the UPDATE button)? I am just a beginner at this and have been trying to figure this out on my own without ...
