Hi there!
I have an ASP.NET web application and a WCF web service application on the same IIS. Both use Windows authentication and the web app makes calls to the WCF services. I know if I would like to delegate the user identity from the web app to another server, I need to enable in the Active Directory that the server is trusted for delegation. But what about a situation, when the web application and the service are on the same IIS? In this case the IIS knows the identity of the web user. Can the web app delegate this identity to the WCF service without enabling anything in the AD? Or is it needed to enable the delegation in the AD for this situation too?
Thank you for helping!
Robert
