PostBackUrl doesn't seem to transfer control

I am trying to pass a bunch of filled in text boxes to another page.  I have the following button within the SignUp.aspx page:


<asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" Text="Sign me up!" PostBackUrl="~/pay.cfm" />


(Yeah, I know it's a Coldfusion page).  Anyway, I can run this just fine on my localhost, but at my ISP, the page gets sent to the server, but control comes back to SignUp.aspx.  Has anyone seen this behavior or know what might be going on?
