I have web services which take in data and create .NET membership users. However when I try to use the Forgotten Password functionality, I get the following message:
'Your attempt to retrieve your password was not successful. Please try again'
however, if I create a user with the .NET configuration tool in visual studio then the password recovery works fine. So could someone please shed some light as to what happens differently and what I need to do in order to get the forgotten password functionality working for users who have been created by web services.
