i have implemented an administration panel for enabling site administrators to manage users. When a user is clicked, the corresponding user profile is fetched by using th following lines of code:
public static UserProfile GetProfile(string username, bool authenticated) {
return new UserProfile(System.Web.Profile.ProfileBase.Create(username, authenticated));
}
The function call results in udating the last activity date for the specific user and as a result, the user IsOnline property is set to true (due to the way that MembersgipUser.IsOnline is calculated). How could i prevent this from happening, since the site administrator just wants to fetch the user profile and not to make the user appear as logged in.
