The documentation would seem to imply that the MDF/LDF for a localdb database cannot be located on a network location, but empirically, that turns out not to be true.
Is this a bug, as we are likely to depend on this behavior?
One of the reasons this is desirable is in a Citrix environment, where databases could be created in the user's temp folder, which is often a network location.
Also, non-Citrix/TS users can define their temp folder as a network location, which is where we will put the DB files.
This is not a problem with Citrix/TS often blowing away temp folders between sessions, as the databases are evanescent anyway.
