Well, despite all the help I've gotten thus far, I still can't get this package to do what I want, so I thought that maybe the best thing would be to spell out the whole thing and see if anyone has any suggestions, so here goes.
I need to write an application that consists of a single website which does the following:
1) Proceesses an incoming query string to get the field name of the first argument (done, I think)
2)Take that field name and find it in an SQL database to give me the rest of the field names associated with the inbound query (done, I think)
3)Take the fields in the query and match them and assign their values to fields that will allow ME to pass a query string into MY gateway
4) Get a response from MY gateway back and pass it back to the requesting client.
I wish I could find a way to pass what I have done over to someone to look at so that you could see why, for some reason, I can't get anything to work! Been ...
