I'm want to integrate two web application into one, concretely I'm adding yet another forum to my site as subfolder. All is working fine and now I want to make users logged/registered on main site automatically get register/loggedin on forum. I got registration part done. (user registered in main db auto get created in forum db)
Problem is main site and forum use different form auth cookies where forum is setting custom formated cookies using:
string idName = string.Format( "{0};{1};{2}", userID, PageBoardID, UserName.Text );
FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie( idName, AutoLogin.Checked );
while main site uses Login control standard way.
If I understand form auth mechanism only one cookie name for one web app can defined in web.config and in this case they are getting overided by each login (main site login or forum login)
so basically I need to have two different auth cookies setup.
How do I do this?
