Avoiding duplicate entries.

Hello forum,

I have a webpage with two textboxes, txtUsername and txtID that I use to insert data into table tblUserID using the stored procedure spUserID.

How do I validate to ensure that no duplicate entry is inserted using a msgbox...perhaps with the message "This Is A Duplicate"
