I've taken over a web project that uses the Membership. The programmer who set it up used the default settings for passwords. The clients old site maintained passwords in clear text so that the administrators could provide support for user who forgot their password. The client is not at all happy that this is no longer available.
The new web site went live on 4/2/2010, and has over 16,000 registered users.
What I would like to be able to is change the password format to Clear without having to drop and recreate all of the users. The client is okay with manually resetting all passwords to a default and requiring their users to change it when they visit the site.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
