I have written my first Web application but am not sure how to license such a program?
I would like to lock the program to a machine by MAC address, or the Windows serial number, and to give a 30 day trial of the software. The following article explains how I can license a control, but where can I make this license check in a Web application?

I know I could create a custom action in the install program to request a License key, and to encrypt the Windows Serial number and current date into web.config. Then, I can check whether the user has a license, or whether they are running a demo version. But where would I make this check when the application runs? What about in global.asax on application/session start, or perhaps in the master page?
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciate ...
