Will sql server run on the surface?
We currenntly run laptops 400 or so with sql server express r2 and 2012 mixed flavors in our sales force.
We have products that run on these devices that we sync with a central server once or twice a week.
If sql server will be built to run on ARM my question is pretty much answered and I can have my current application built and configured to run on ARM. But if Microsoft has dumped this functionality, I don't see how ARM would be a benefit to our sales force
of a measly 400 users.
NO the answer is not cloud because many times these laptops are NOT connected to a network. The last mile doesnt' reach every place on earth and they have to run the software DISCONNECTED.
Is there a solution to this, how would I plan to design my software to support newer devices that our sales team may leverage?
