I have a page such as http://www.mydomain.com/showusers.aspx?username=aspcheetah
When such a page is browsed, it shows a gridview control with data from database for username aspcheetah. However, I want to hide this URL and make it so it only shows http://www.mydomain.com/showsusers.aspx. The username can be fetched from session or some place. How can I do this?
can I use url mapping feature of asp.net?
if not, how can i do it?
AIM: My aim is to hide the username querystring from the user so that a malicious user does not figure out and change the querystring to get someone else's information. To that end, I have put a check and it is working. But, I still want to change the URL as well.
