I tried to add an AjaxControlToolkit.CascadingDropDown but I can't even access the web service. I get a 401 unauthorized error.
The service is: ~/Service/Offices.asmx/GetOffices
If I navigate the browser directly to : ~/Service/Offices.asmx/ then I have no problem running the Test method.
If I set a break point in the web service nothing happens. It never seems to get there. I haven't tried looking at the headers when using IE or other browsers but the indications are that they don't work [i.e. the break-point I set in the debugger does nothing].
It takes anytime from about 120ms to 1300ms to execute (which seems a long time considering it does nothing!)
Q: What's wrong here and what is the fix.
