I have a pretty basic questions about the membership scheme that is created via asp.net when running it from the aspnet_regsql. I have ran it against my sql2008 express database, it created the database scheme correctly. I created the connection within the database explorer and can see all the tables without troubles. Here is my question, when I go to the asp.net configuration, go to the provider tab, the only provider that I see AspNetSqlProvider, when I test against that provider it adds the ASPNETDB.MDF. That database also has the membership scheme. Why is this database created and how can I just use my sql 2008 express database? Know this is probably pretty easy, but I'm stumped.
