How to filter data with square brackets ? ( SQL 2005)

table class
NO    SUBJECT
1     [MIS]
2     [MATH]
3     [CALCULOUS]


when I run this sql script

select * from class
where subject like '%[MIS]%'

the result is
NO    SUBJECT
1     [MIS]
2     [MATH]
3     [CALCULOUS]


why result doesn't not like what I expected?
I think the result should be

NO    SUBJECT
1     [MIS]


does the reason is square brackets ?
