Request.Url.ToString()

I have a URL, http://www.somesite.com/somepath/alumni.aspx, that I'm trying to grab out of the URL bar. The problem is, this URL is an alias for http://www.somesite.com/templates/general.aspx?id=etc, etc. When I use Request.Url.ToString() I get the latter URL and I want the former. How can I get this?
