Custom Digest Authentication

Hi All,

I have a question regarding custom authentication possiblities.  We have a web app that is available to internet users from our DMZ.  We have an external domain controller set up in the DMZ on which users must authenticate against in order to use the web application.  The business wants users tp be resented with a customized login screen, but the only way I know how to do this is with forms authentication.  Can forms authentication use active directory in the same way as windows authentication... meaning, can you use forms authentication to athenticated and authorize through active directory?
