How do you get TextBox with UK Date Format in to SQL?

 Hello I have an input form with a textbox for the date.  The date will be enter in UK format (dd/mm/yyyy) But SQL Date DataType take (mm/dd/yyyy) How do you go about converting the date in the textbox befor its inserted in to the SQL field?
