Anyone help with this? I fell in at the deep end.
I have a .bak file backup of an MS SQL database. I'd like to see what's on it. To that end I have installed SQL 2008 express.
Installed ok, but I have no idea what to do with it. Anyone any pointers? (I installed on my pc, probably not a good idea? But only I will connect to any databases)
I have seen similar questions to this were the respondents have said - oh yes when you've installed SQL 2008 express all you do is blabble blabble, and then you can do it. Unfortunately the blabble blabble bit was not explained in any detail.
Most people who reply to queries have the tendency to think that the person asking the question knows what they are doing (not always the case)
Pleeeese heeeeelp I am happy to read relevant docs/research I just don't know where to start, or what would be a waste of time/irrelevant?
