asp:RequiredFieldValidator problem

I want to make my password and confirm password text boxes disabled or readonly in edit mode because I don?t want ?Admin? to change password after creating user.
Both password and confirm password text boxes have asp:RequiredFieldValidator. When I am in edit mode with both password and confirm password text boxes disabled and after making changes to the other controls when I try to save the changes, I get asp:RequiredFieldValidator error.
