Textboxs and Dates

Hi All,

I use 4 textboxes on my form date1, date2, date3 and date4. After completion of the form the user hit the save button and the data is inserted with a TableAdapter i.e. da.insert(date1.text,date2.text,date3.text,date4.text). But when the user leave the one textbox empty (It is allowed as sometimes not all date are required) I get a error "Conversion from string "" to type 'Date' is not valid."

 

Any help please.
