Add an image to a profile page.

I want to create a web page where a user can add an image to their "profile".  Or multiple images via repeating the steps to add an image.
What is the best way to make it easy for the user to add an image?  The image is more than likely to come from the web somewhere.  Assuming the user isn't intelligent enough to figure out the image url on their own, what are my options?  Google image search API? Anything else?
