We have an asp.net appliacation that calls a web service. Web service calls a .dll that generates a file and web service sends it by mail. During that time, asp.net application waits for the process of creating the file to be finished. Sometimes, this process lasts for 20, 30 seconds if the file is big.
It would be perfect if the asp.net application shoudn't need to wait for the generation of the file to be over. Is there a way to achieve this?
