Hi.
So i'm new to ASP.NET and trying to figure out how to implement authentication.
I have my database which amongst others, has a Students, and Professor tables as well as the aspnet_* tables created by the ASP.NET users and roles framework.
So basically, my aspnet_Users and aspnet_Membership tables contain the login info.
Now the thing is a user can be a student or a professor. But for now the aspnet_ tables are independent of my Students/Professors tables. I thought about modifying the aspnet_ classes to add a column with the student/prof id but I read that these tables shouldn't be modified. So basically I have to use Profile Provider.
This is where I am stuck. I can't seem to find a descent tutorial explaining how to set all this up.
