I have a gridview containing 1 boundfield for "ProductCode." I have a textbox for ProductCode (txtProductCode) and what I am trying to do is if the text entered into the textbox has a exact match in the datagrid perform a Calculate(object sender, EventArgs e) function. Otherwise display the datagrid with all possible matches.
For example if I enter in aaa into txtProductCode and the gridview has a direct match I just want to skip displaying the list of all possible matches and just jump to Calculate(). However if someone types in a I want to display the datagrid that will have the options of abc, abd, aaa, etc. which will allow the user to select the correct product code from the list.
Basically I have everything working except for onClick find a match if no match display gridview. I think I need to use Findcontrol, but I am not sure how to use findcontrol on a gridview boundfield.
