help please adding up querystrings on client side not working

Hi,
the following is not working - the page loads with no errors, but when i click image button the new values are not passed onto the querystrings or show up in the labels.
I have a page with a datalist on it, wuth labels 1-16 in it taking values from database.
below these i have labels 34-49 taking values from querystrings.
on image button click, i want label 16 to add to 34 (etc) and divide by two, then send this as the new number for the querystring, reload page and pick up the new querystrings, then the process can be repeated over and over... this does not work at the moment.

maybe i shoudl use something other than databound? i dont know please help! here is code:
