Here is a sample that how I use resouce strings in my project :-
<asp:label id="Label1" runat="server" text="<%$ Resources: Lang, LBL_LOCALIZED_TXT %>" /> Label1.Text = Resources.Lang.LBL_LOCALIZED_TXT

I just use VS 2010 IDE to create resources and use their values. When a dll is compiled reosurce file is embaded in that DLL and if i have to change message then I have to re-deploy that dll.

Now problem is that we have multiple projects running and there is always a risk that if i redeploy a new dll on production, I might move untested and unwanted code to production servers.

1- Is there any way that I can use external resource files so I do not have to deploy dll files?
2- Can I create a centeralized resource dll and use that resource dll in all of my projects? If yes then how?
